Set between 1969-1973, I had to find old-school red-sauce joints that are impossible to find unless you know where to look for them. To reflect the shadowy world of corrupt government and places where under-the-table deals happen in broad daylight, I found long-forgotten gems: coffee shops with wood paneled walls, pizzerias with Naugahyde booths, bars trimmed in pleated leather, diners with cigarette machines - scouting this project was like traveling back in time!
